## Overview
SuperPath lets administrators manually mark Learnings as complete on behalf of learners. This is useful when a learner has finished training outside the platform, when records need to be backdated, or when you need to correct or update someone's progress. When you mark a completion you can control the date recorded and, for course items, the learner's score and whether they passed.

## How to mark a Pathway or Learning as complete
1. Open any Learning list — the Content list, **Pathways**, **Forms** or **Events**.
2. Click the **Quick View Report** icon next to the relevant Learning.
3. You'll see the list of learners assigned to that Learning.
4. Find the learner and select **Mark as Complete** on their row.
5. Choose a **Completion date** — today's date or any earlier date.
6. Confirm. SuperPath marks the Learning complete on the date you chose. For a Pathway, all steps inside it are also marked complete on that date.

> **Good to know:** To mark several learners complete at once, select them in the Quick View Report and use **Bulk Actions → Mark as complete** — see *How to Bulk Mark Assignments as Complete*.

## How to mark an individual step within a Pathway as complete
1. Open the learner's record and go into the relevant Pathway.
2. Locate the specific course or step you want to mark.
3. Select **Mark as Complete** at the step level.
4. If the step is a course, you can enter a **Score** and set the **Passed** toggle before confirming.

This is handy when a learner has completed one part of a Pathway externally, or when only specific steps need updating without affecting the rest of the Pathway.

## Setting a score
When marking a course complete — either as a standalone item or as a step within a Pathway — you can record the learner's score and whether they passed. Enter a **Score** (0–100%) and turn on **Passed** if they met the requirement, then confirm the completion. The score appears on the learner's record and is reflected in reporting.

## Where this works
Mark as Complete is available across:
* Content (via the Quick View Report or Managed Library)
* Pathways (at the Pathway level or the individual step level)
* Forms
* Events

## Things to keep in mind
* When you mark a full Pathway complete with a specific date, all steps within it are also marked complete on that date.
* When marking an individual step within a Pathway, the Pathway itself only shows as complete once all required steps are marked.
* The **Score** and **Passed** fields apply to course-type items only — they aren't shown for Forms or Events.

## FAQs
**Can I set a completion date in the past?**
Yes. When confirming, you can choose today's date or any earlier date.

**Does marking a Pathway complete also complete its steps?**
Yes. Marking the whole Pathway complete marks every step inside it complete on the same date. You can also mark individual steps without completing the whole Pathway.

**Can I mark lots of learners complete at once?**
Yes — use **Bulk Actions** in the Quick View Report to mark a group of selected learners complete together.

## Who can do this
Only **Admins** and **Owners** can mark Learnings complete on behalf of learners. Other roles do not see the **Mark as Complete** option.
