# How to Add Tags to a Roadmap

## Overview
Tags are labels you attach to a Roadmap to help organise and find it. Once tagged, Roadmaps can be filtered by tag in your Roadmaps list, which is handy when you manage a large set of Roadmaps across different Teams or job families.

## How to add tags
1. Go to **Roadmaps** and open the Roadmap you want to tag.
2. In the top nav, click the **Settings** (cog) icon to open the **Roadmap Settings** panel.
3. Find the **Tags** field, click the **Type to add tags** box, type a tag and press **Enter** to add it. Repeat to add more.

4. Tags save automatically. Close the panel when you are done.

## How to remove tags
* To remove a single tag, click the **×** on that tag.
* To remove every tag at once, click **Clear all tags** above the Tags field.

## Things to keep in mind
* Tags save automatically as you add or remove them — there is no separate save button.
* You can filter your Roadmaps list by tag from the Roadmaps list page.

## FAQs
**How do I add more than one tag?**
Type each tag and press Enter after each one; there is no limit shown in the interface.

**How do I clear all the tags quickly?**
Click **Clear all tags** above the Tags field to remove them all at once.

## Who can do this
**Owners**, **Admins**, **Managers** and **Content Managers** can add and remove Roadmap tags (governed by the "update" permission on the Roadmap subject). **People Managers**, **Instructors**, **Employees** and **Restricted** users cannot.
