# How to Filter and Customise Tables in SuperPath

## Overview

Table views across SuperPath — People, Pathways, Events, reports and more — let you filter by specific fields and control which columns are shown. Instead of working with a one-size-fits-all view, you can decide what you see, so it is easier to focus on the information that matters, reduce clutter and save time when analysing your data.

## How to filter a table

1. Open a table view in SuperPath (for example, **People**).
2. Click the **Filter** button at the top of the table.
3. Choose one or more fields to filter by (for example role, instructor or status).
4. The table updates instantly to match your selections.
5. To clear your filters, click **Reset**.

## How to customise columns

1. Open a table view in SuperPath.
2. Click the **Columns** button at the top of the table.
3. Tick the fields you want to display (for example *Email* or *Login Type*).
4. Untick any fields you don't need (for example *Last Name*).
5. The table refreshes automatically with your chosen layout.
6. To return to the default columns, open the **Columns** menu again and click **Reset**.

## Example use cases

* **People table:** filter to Admins only, and show email and login type for quick reference.
* **Pathways table:** filter by instructor to see who is running which Pathways.
* **Reports:** add extra fields such as *External ID* or *User Status* that would otherwise require an export.

## Who can do this

Filtering and customising columns changes only your own view of a table — it does not change any underlying data. Anyone who can open a given table view can filter it and choose its columns; the fields available depend on the table and on what each role is allowed to see.
