## Overview
The Teams filter narrows every figure on the Engagement Dashboard to the people in the Teams you choose. It applies to the whole page at once: the headline cards, the trend charts, the funnel and the top content list. It is a lens for comparing one part of your organisation with another, not a permission boundary, so what you can select depends on what you can already report on.

## How to filter by one or more Teams
1. Open the **Engagement** tab of your **Company Dashboard**.
2. Click the **All teams** selector above the context strip.
3. Tick one or more Teams. Each fixed Team shows its current member count, so you can see how big a group you are about to look at.
4. Click away from the list to close it. The dashboard reloads for your selection.

Your chosen Teams appear as pills in the selector and are named on the context strip, alongside the number of people they resolve to. To clear the filter, remove the pills with the small **x** on each one, and the dashboard returns to **All teams**.

## How multiple Teams are combined
Selecting several Teams gives you one combined group, not one figure per Team. Someone who belongs to two of the Teams you selected is counted **once**, so the totals never double count. This is why the context strip shows a single people figure for the whole selection.

The selection also includes people in Teams beneath the ones you chose. Selecting a parent Team brings in its child Teams, so filtering to a division gives you the whole division rather than only the people attached directly to the top level.

> **Note:** People who are not in any Team are included in the unfiltered **All teams** view and are absent from any Team-filtered view. If your filtered figures do not add up to the whole-organisation total, that is usually why.

## Dynamic Teams
Dynamic Teams work in the filter and are marked **Dynamic** in the list instead of showing a member count. That is deliberate: their membership is worked out live from the rules on the Team, so a stored count would be out of date. Their members are resolved at the moment you run the filter.

## The small group notice
If your selection resolves to fewer than five people, a notice appears above the cards explaining that the figures may effectively describe individuals rather than a group, and asking you to take care when sharing them.

The figures are still shown. SuperPath does not hide small-group data, because a manager of three people has a legitimate need to see it. The notice is there so a number that describes one person is not passed around as if it described a department. The same notice appears on the Team view for managers with small teams.

## Things to keep in mind
* The filter shows **current** Team membership, including for past periods. Someone who moved Teams last month is counted in the Team they are in today, for the whole range. The tooltip on the selector says so.
* You can select up to 50 Teams at once.
* The Team view of the dashboard has no Teams filter, because its population is fixed: the people who report to you.
* Your selection is stored in the page address, so copying the URL shares the same filtered view and refreshing the page keeps it.
* If a Team you selected resolves to nobody, the dashboard shows zeros for that selection rather than quietly falling back to the whole organisation.

## FAQs
**Can I compare two Teams side by side?**
Not on one screen. Filter to the first Team, then to the second. Copying each view as an image is a quick way to put them next to each other in a document.

**Does the filter apply to the Learnings tab as well?**
No. The Teams filter belongs to the Engagement view. The **Learnings** tab has its own search and status tabs on the learning-progress table.

**Why does a Team show "Dynamic" instead of a number?**
Dynamic Teams work out their membership from rules each time they are used, so there is no fixed count to show. They still filter correctly.

**Why is the total for two Teams less than the two Teams added together?**
Because anyone in both Teams is counted once. That is intended: it keeps totals honest.

**Can I filter to a single person?**
No. The Engagement Dashboard is a group view. For individual detail, use the **Learnings** tab or a report from the Reports area.

## Who can do this
The Teams filter is available to **Owners** and **Admins** on the Engagement view of the Company Dashboard, which is the only place it appears. Owners and Admins can filter to any Team in your organisation. The Team view has no filter, because it always covers exactly the people who report to the person viewing it.
