## Overview
When an Event has been made available in the Library, you can register for it yourself — no need to wait to be assigned. Registering adds the Event to your learning so you can find it again, get the details, and have your attendance tracked.

## How to register for an event
1. Go to the **Library** and open **Upcoming Events** to see the Events you can register for.
2. Click an Event to open its details page.
3. Click **Register for event**.
4. A confirmation appears — **You are registered!** — letting you know the Event organisers have been notified.

Once you've registered, the button changes to **Registered**, and you can find the Event any time under **My Learnings**.

## When an event needs approval
Some Events require approval before you can self-register. In that case you'll see a **Request Learning** button instead of **Register for event**.

1. Open the Event in the Library and click **Request Learning**.
2. Confirm your request in the **Request Approval** dialog by clicking **Confirm request**.
3. Your request is sent for approval and the button shows **Awaiting approval** until it's reviewed.

Once approved, the Event is added to your learning and you can continue from **My Learnings**.

## Things to keep in mind
* You can only register for Events that have been made **Available in the Library** by your organisation.
* If an Event is restricted to specific Teams, you'll only see it if you're a member of one of those Teams.
* Events that have already started, or that are private, won't appear in the Library's Upcoming Events list.

## FAQs
**Where do I find events I've registered for?**
Under **My Learnings** — registering adds the Event to your learning, and the detail page links you straight there.

**Does registering notify anyone?**
Yes. When you register, the Event organisers are notified automatically.

**What if I don't see a Register button?**
If the Event requires approval you'll see **Request Learning** instead. If you don't see the Event at all, it may not be available in the Library or may be restricted to Teams you're not in.

## Who can do this
Any learner can register for an Event that has been made **Available in the Library**, subject to any Team restrictions on the Event. Where an Event requires approval on self-registration, **Employees** and Managers who aren't approvers request the learning for approval instead of registering directly.
