## Overview

When a piece of Content is no longer needed, you can archive it to remove it from your SuperPath Library. Archiving takes the item out of view in the Library while leaving any existing learning assignments untouched, so your reporting history stays intact.

## How to archive content

1. Open the content page for the item you want to remove in your Library.

2. In the right-hand panel of the content page, click **Archive content**.

3. When prompted, click **Confirm**. This archives the content and removes it from view in your Library.

## Things to keep in mind

* Archiving removes the content from the Library, but any active learning assignments remain active and continue to appear in reporting.
* The **Archive content** button is not available for purchased content sourced from another Library.

## FAQs

**Does archiving delete the content permanently?**
No. Archiving removes the content from view in your Library; existing assignments and reporting history are preserved.

**What happens to people who were already assigned this content?**
Their assignments stay active and visible in reporting — archiving only affects whether the item shows in the Library.

## Who can do this

**Owners**, **Admins**, **Managers**, **Content Managers** and **Instructors** can archive Content in their own organisation's Library. **People Managers**, **Employees** and **Restricted** users cannot — they have read-only access to Content.
