# How to Sync a Pathway With Your HRIS

## Overview
If your organisation has an HRIS connected, you can push a Pathway's completions back to it. With sync switched on, *"this will push the completed learning back to"* your HRIS, so learning records stay up to date in the system your HR team already uses — no manual export needed.

## Turn on HRIS sync for a Pathway
1. Go to **Pathways** and open the Pathway.
2. In the pathway header, click the **Settings** (cog) icon to open the **Pathway settings** panel.
3. Find the **Sync with** *(your HRIS)* switch — it's named after your connected HRIS.
4. Turn it on. The change saves automatically.

> **Note:** The sync switch only appears when your organisation has an HRIS integration connected. If you don't see it, no HRIS is connected to your account — set one up in your integration settings first.

## Things to keep in mind
* The **Sync with …** option is only visible when an HRIS integration is active for your account, and the label reflects the specific HRIS you've connected.
* Sync pushes **completed** learning back to your HRIS.
* This is a per-Pathway setting — turn it on for each Pathway whose completions you want reflected in your HRIS.

## FAQs
**Why can't I see a sync option?**
The switch only appears when an HRIS is connected to your account. Without a connected HRIS there's nothing to sync to.

**What gets sent to my HRIS?**
Completed learning for the Pathway is pushed back to your connected HRIS.

**Does it sync every Pathway automatically?**
No. Sync is set per Pathway — enable it on each Pathway you want to push completions for.

## Who can do this
**Owners**, **Admins**, **Managers**, **Content Managers** and **Instructors** can turn on HRIS sync for a Pathway. **People Managers**, **Employees** and **Restricted** users have read-only access to Pathways and cannot change this setting. Connecting the HRIS integration itself is a separate account-level task.
