## Overview
The Team Dashboard gives managers a focused view of the people who report to them. It has two tabs: **Learnings** shows what needs attention right now, and **Engagement** shows how your team's learning is trending over a period you choose. This article covers the **Learnings** tab, which opens by default: the summary cards and a learning-progress table scoped to your direct reports.

## How to open the Team Dashboard
1. From the left-hand menu, open **Dashboard**.
2. At the top right, use the switcher to choose **Team Dashboard**.

The **Team Dashboard** option only appears if you have direct reports. You can switch back to **My Dashboard**, or to **Company Dashboard** if you're an Owner or Admin, from the same switcher.

## The Learnings and Engagement tabs
Under the dashboard title are two tabs, both covering exactly the people who report to you:

* **Learnings** is this dashboard: current state, covering what needs attention now.
* **Engagement** is the trend view: participation, active users, completions, estimated learning hours, the learning funnel and your team's top learning content, compared with the period before. The context strip on that tab reads **Your direct reports**, and there's no Teams filter, because the population is already fixed. See the separate *How to Use the Engagement Dashboard* article.

The **Engagement** tab appears whenever you have at least one direct report. Because most teams are small, expect the small group notice on that tab: with only a handful of people, a figure can effectively describe an individual.

## What's on the Learnings tab
Along the top are four summary cards, scoped to your team:

* **Learnings In Progress** — your team's learnings currently underway.
* **Overdue Learners** — learnings past their due date.
* **Completed Learnings** — completions, with a comparison against the previous period.
* **Learnings Not Started** — assigned learnings not yet begun, with a period comparison.

> **Tip:** For your team's activity over time, use the **Engagement** tab. Trends were moved there so this tab stays focused on what needs action now.

## The Team Learning Progress table
The bottom of the dashboard is the **Team Learning Progress** table — your direct reports and their assigned learnings. You can:

* Filter by status using the tabs (**All**, **In Progress**, **Not Started**, **Overdue**, **Due in 7 days**, **Completed**), each showing a live count.
* Search, sort by column, and page through the results.
* Use the row actions (the **⋮** menu) to **Change due date** or **Delete learning** where you have permission.
* Export the table to CSV — see the separate *How to Export the Dashboard Learning-Progress Table* article.

## Things to keep in mind
* The Team Dashboard is scoped to your direct reports, on both tabs. For the whole platform, Owners and Admins can use the **Company Dashboard**.
* Your team means your direct reports plus anyone reporting to them, following your reporting line down. If your organisation uses Teams to decide who a manager sees, it's the people in the Teams you manage instead.
* The summary cards are driven by the table's status counts, so they stay in step with the tabs.
* There's no activity chart on this tab. Your team's trends live on the **Engagement** tab.
* This dashboard is only available when the dashboard is enabled for your platform.

## FAQs
**Why can't I see the Team Dashboard?**
The Team Dashboard only appears if you manage people (you have at least one direct report). If you don't, you'll only see My Dashboard.

**Does it include people outside my team?**
No. Both tabs are limited to your direct reports. Owners and Admins who want the full picture can use the Company Dashboard.

**Can I see engagement trends for my team?**
Yes. Click the **Engagement** tab. It shows the same metrics as the company view, scoped to the people who report to you, and will say so rather than implying the figures are organisation-wide.

**Can I change or remove a due date from here?**
Yes, via the **⋮** menu on a table row — but only where your permissions allow it. Completed learnings can only be deleted by Owners and Admins.

## Who can do this
The **Learnings** tab is available to **Owners**, **Admins** and any user who has at least one direct report (typically a **Manager** or **People Manager**). Users with no direct reports and no admin role are redirected to **My Dashboard**, and **Restricted** users don't have the dashboard at all.

The **Engagement** tab is available only to users who have at least one direct report, whatever their role, because its figures are defined as the people who report to you. An **Owner** or **Admin** with no direct reports is sent to the Engagement view of the **Company Dashboard** instead, which is the organisation-wide equivalent. The **Insights** and **Generate summary report** buttons on that tab appear only if the AI Assistant is enabled for your organisation and its access level includes managers; by default it is set to Admins only.

Row actions on the Learning Progress table (changing a due date or deleting a learning) are further limited by your permissions on the assignment or Pathway; completed learnings can only be deleted by **Owners** and **Admins**.
