When building courses in AI course builder, the type of page you choose has an impact on how learners experience the content. Each page type serves a different purpose, from presenting text to prompting interaction. By understanding the options available, you can create courses that are not only clear but also dynamic and engaging.

Creating and Managing Pages

To add a new page in the editor, click New Page in the left sidebar. This opens the full menu of page types available, including text, question, multimedia, and interactive options.


When you select a page type, AI course builder automatically populates the page with the corresponding tiles. If you click the plus (+) button instead, a blank page is added within the current section so you can build your own layout from scratch.



From the New Page menu, you can also add a Section Divider to break up content into logical parts, or insert one of your Saved Page Templates for consistency across courses. Any page can be saved as a template by clicking the kebab menu (three dots) in the top right of the page and selecting Create Page Template.


The kebab menu on each page also provides quick management actions:

  • Copy/Paste: Duplicate a page and even paste it into a different course.
  • Duplicate: Create a copy of the page within the same course.
  • Delete: Remove the page entirely.
  • Make Section Divider: Convert an existing page into a divider for cleaner organisation.

📌 Tip: Copy and paste actions work across courses, making it easy to reuse content in different contexts without starting from scratch.



Text Pages

Text pages are the foundation for delivering written content. Options include:

  • Header and Paragraph: Combines a title with body text for clear communication.
  • Header: Useful for section titles or transitions.
  • Paragraph: Ideal for explanatory content without a heading.

Text pages are best when you need to introduce concepts, provide explanations, or summarise learning points. For example, in a compliance training course, a text page might outline the purpose of the policy before moving into an assessment.


📌 Tip: You can combine text tiles with background images to create bold "hero" sections. This is highly effective for opening pages or introducing new chapters.



Question Pages

Question pages allow you to check learner understanding and reinforce key ideas. Available formats include:

  • Multiple Choice
  • Select Multiple
  • Short Answer
  • Matching

These options let you vary your assessment methods. A short-answer question tile works well for reflection prompts, while a matching tile can test knowledge of terms and definitions. Incorporating questions throughout a course keeps learners engaged and ensures they are actively processing the material.

  • Link: Provide access to external articles, resources, or policy documents via a button tile.

For example, in a leadership training course, you could embed a short video of a team meeting to highlight communication techniques, followed by reflection questions on the next page.




Interactive Pages

Interactive pages add an element of active learning, encouraging users to participate rather than just consume information. Options include:

  • Flashcards: Perfect for memorisation and rapid recall activities.
  • Accordion: Organise content into expandable sections for a cleaner presentation.
  • Hot Button: Allow learners to click on specific areas of an image for deeper exploration.
  • Sorting: Let learners categorise information by dragging and dropping items.

For example, in a product training course, a hot button tile might let learners click on different parts of a software dashboard to learn what each function does.
