# Uploading a Logo and Icon

## Overview
Adding your own logo and icon is one of the quickest ways to make SuperPath feel like your own. Your **logo** appears above the left-hand menu, and your **icon** (favicon) shows in the browser tab. Both are managed in the **Company Logo and Icon** section of the **Theme** settings tab.

## How to upload your logo
1. Go to **Settings → Theme**.
2. In the **Company Logo and Icon** section, find the **Upload Logo** box.
3. Drag and drop your logo into the box, or click to browse your computer and select it.
4. Once uploaded, your logo is displayed. To replace it, click **Clear logo** and upload a different file.
5. Click **Save** on the bar at the top of the screen.

> **Note:** Logos must be a PNG file, with a maximum size of 500KB.

## How to upload your icon
The icon (favicon) is the small image shown in the browser tab.

1. In the same **Company Logo and Icon** section, use the **Upload Icon** box.
2. Drag and drop your icon into the box, or browse your computer and select it. To replace it, click **Clear icon** and upload again.
3. Click **Save**.

Your logo will now appear above the left-side menu, and your icon in the browser tab.

> **Note:** Icons can be a PNG, SVG or ICO file, with a maximum size of 50KB.

## Things to keep in mind
* Both the logo and the icon must be saved using the **Save** bar at the top before the changes take effect.
* File requirements differ: the logo is PNG only (max 500KB); the icon can be PNG, SVG or ICO (max 50KB).
* Your logo and primary colour together enable the custom login page — see *Custom Login Pages and How to Change Them*.
* Custom branding is only available on paid accounts. If you don't see the Theme options, your account will show a message about upgrading.

## FAQs
**What's the difference between the logo and the icon?**
The logo is the larger image shown above the left-hand menu inside the app. The icon (favicon) is the small image shown in the browser tab.

**Can I remove a logo or icon after uploading?**
Yes. Click **Clear logo** or **Clear icon** to remove it, then upload a replacement or leave it blank, and save.

**My file won't upload — why?**
Check the format and size. Logos must be PNG (max 500KB); icons must be PNG, SVG or ICO (max 50KB).

## Who can do this
**Owners** and **Admins** can upload a logo and icon. **Managers**, **Content Managers**, **People Managers**, **Instructors**, **Employees** and **Restricted** users cannot — the Settings area is restricted to Owners and Admins. Custom branding is also a paid-account feature, so the Theme options only appear where it has been enabled.
