Overview
The Higher Logic Integration is a great way to keep your SuperPath and Higher Logic accounts in sync. The integration automatically invites new members from Higher Logic and keeps member contact details in sync. It also pushes completed Learnings, badges and Certificates back to the Higher Logic external activity feed.
Before you start
This setup requires both Higher Logic admin access and SuperPath Admin access. There are four steps:
- Create Higher Logic activity types.
- Create an IAM Key.
- Configure SuperPath.
- Set up Activity Sync (webhooks) in Higher Logic.
Step 1: Create Higher Logic activity types
- In Higher Logic, go to Admin → Settings → External Content → External Activity.
- At the bottom of the page you will see a list of activity types.
- For each row in the table below, click Add and enter the details including Name, Plural Name and Legacy Key, and make sure View Permissions is set to Authenticated.
- For each of the additional fields, click Add on Additional Display Data Configuration and follow the prompts to add a new field. The data type for each field is shown in brackets.

Step 2: Create an IAM Key in Higher Logic
In this step you generate the credentials that SuperPath needs to enable the integration.
- In Higher Logic, go to Admin → Settings → External Content → External Activity.
- In the top IAM Key section, click Add New Key, then click Generate.
- Copy the IAM Key and Password to use in SuperPath.
Step 3: Configure SuperPath
- In SuperPath, go to Settings → Integrations.
- Hover over the Higher Logic tile and click View Details.
- Click Connect Higher Logic.
- Enter your Company Domain. For example, if your Higher Logic URL is
https://acme-company.connectedcommunity.org/then your company domain isacme-company. - Enter the IAM Key and Password from Step 2.
- Select your configuration options and click Connect Higher Logic to save.
Note: The options to keep user records in sync and to auto-create users both require Step 4 to be set up correctly.

Step 4: Set up Activity Sync
This step is only required if you want your user records kept in sync with Higher Logic. It is recommended for the best integration experience.
Before you start, go back to the SuperPath integration settings. Open the Higher Logic Integration and, in the help text of the first two options, copy the SuperPath webhook URL. It looks something like this: https://api.superpath.io/public/integrations/webhooks/abc123/higherlogic
- In Higher Logic, go to Admin → Settings → External Content → Activity Sync.
- In the Endpoints list, click Create and enter the following details.
- For Name, enter
SuperPath Sync. - For Provider Type, select Web Activity POST.
- For Activity Subscriptions, select Create Contact, Update Contact, Delete Contact and Deactivate Contact.
- For URL, enter the URL you copied from SuperPath.
- Click Save.
Your SuperPath Higher Logic integration is now complete.
Things to keep in mind
- You need both Higher Logic admin access and SuperPath Admin access to complete the setup.
- Step 4 (Activity Sync) is optional, but keeping user records in sync and auto-creating users both depend on it being set up correctly.

Who can do this
In SuperPath, Owners and Admins can configure the Higher Logic integration.
