How to connect and configure foundU



The SuperPath foundU integration is a great way to connect your foundU system to SuperPath to keep your people and teams in sync, had have the employee training record sync back into foundU


What do you need to configure the foundU integration?



The following is needed to configure the foundU integration:
user MUST be an Admin in SuperPath
user MUST be an Admin in foundU
Company Domain - The subdomain used to access foundU. If you access foundU at https://{customer}.foundu.com.au, then the company domain is 'customer'"
Teams Tag Group Id (Optional) - This is the ID of the tag groups that you would like to use for teams. Here you can use multiple tag groups, seperated by comma. This is ONLY required if 'Use foundU tags as teams' is selected (see below). Please refer to the foundu documentation on how to add, edit or delete tags

What actions can the foundU integration perform?



The foundU integration can be configured to perform the following actions. Each of these actions can be turned off or on depending how you would like to configure your integration.

Keep your people record in sync-

when you update an employee in foundU it will update the employee details in SuperPath. This includes employee name, any teams (if configured below) and manager. It will also disable employees in SuperPath if they are terminated or disabled in foundU. The sync runs every 30 minutes

*User Creation Options*
SuperPath offers 4 options for how to create users when connecting a HRIS platform
Manual - In this option users will NOT be created and will have to be created or invited manually. Once added the user records will be kept in sync through updates from Employment Hero
Invite Users - In this option users will be invited to the platform when triggered from Employment Hero. Users will only appear in SuperPath once they have accepted their invite. This is the option to use when wanting to use Google or MSFT SSO options
Create with Password - In this option the user will be created in SuperPath with a password. The user will not be notified. You can send a welcome email using the Send Welcome button in the People list which will send them their password. Alternatively they can use the forgotten password flow.
Create with Magic Link - In this option the user will be created in SuperPath with a magic link. The user will not be notified. You can send a welcome email using the Send Welcome button in the People list. This user will be able to access SuperPath using a magic link - https://help.superpath.io/en/article/how-to-login-using-magic-link-1ghozvh/

Teams Sync

Use foundU tags as teams - Each foundU tag from the specified tag group will be added as a team in SuperPath. Add Tag Group ID as above.
Use employment type as team - The employment type of the employee will be used as the employee's team (eg. Casual)
Use foundU positions and locations as teams - The employees location will be used as the employee's team (eg. Sydney)

Add completed qualifications to the employee record

When a person completes a learning or earns a certificate that matches a qualification in foundU it will add this credential to the employee record. This includes learning pathways and learning assignmentsThe qualification MUST first be configured in foundU this sync will work 
Please refer to the foundu documentation on how to manage qualifications, licenses and inductions. You will need to add the API ID / External ID for the qualification in foundU. This will require the ID of the follow learning items (ID in bold)

Add earned skills to the employee record

When a person earns skills through completing learnings these skills will be added to the employee tags in foundU/

Additional actions



You can also perform the additional actions:

Perform 24hr Sync - Sync all employee records that have changed the last 24 hours. This process will invite new foundU employees to SuperPath, update existing users in SuperPath
Perform Full Sync - Sync all employee records from foundU into SuperPath. This process will invite new foundU employees to SuperPath, update existing users in SuperPath
