Overview

Partner Settings are the defaults applied to every new customer account you create from the Partner Portal. Here you set the default platform name, decide which features are available, and configure custom theme and branding — so each new account starts already looking and working the way you want. As the settings page explains: "The below settings are used for each new account created from your partner portal. In these settings you can configure the default platform name, which features are available and any custom theme and branding. Once an account is created you can log into that account and customise any of these settings per account." Because these values are inherited at the moment of creation, it's worth getting them right before you create accounts (see "How to Create a Customer Account").

How to configure your General partner settings

  1. Go to Partner Portal → Settings. The page is headed "{Partner name}'s Settings".
  2. Open the General tab (it's selected by default).
  3. Under Company details, set your defaults:
    • Platform Name
    • Support Email
    • Timezone
    • Language
  4. Optionally turn on the toggle to sync all custom categories and hidden categories from this master account to all sub accounts.
  5. Use the Save / Discard bar at the top of the page to save your changes (or discard them).

The other settings tabs

Alongside General, the Partner Settings page has Features, Library, Gamification and Theme tabs. These are the same settings screens you'd see in a normal account, but here they set the defaults applied to every new customer account you create:

  • Features — which features are enabled by default.
  • Library — default library configuration.
  • Gamification — default gamification setup.
  • Theme — default theme and branding.

Things to keep in mind

  • These settings are defaults inherited by new accounts at the moment of creation. Changing them later doesn't retroactively change accounts you've already created.
  • After an account exists, you can log into it and customise any of its settings individually — the defaults are a starting point, not a lock.
  • On the General tab, remember to save via the Save / Discard bar at the top; changes aren't kept until you save.
  • The Features, Library, Gamification and Theme tabs mirror the normal account settings screens, so they'll feel familiar — the difference is that here they define the template for future accounts.

FAQs

Do changes to my Partner Settings update accounts I've already created?
No. Partner Settings are applied when an account is created. Existing accounts keep their own settings, which you can adjust by logging into each account individually.

Where do new accounts get their branding and features from?
From your Partner Settings — the Theme, Features, Library and Gamification tabs set the defaults, and the General tab sets the default platform name, timezone and language.

Can I still customise an individual account after it's created?
Yes. Once an account exists you can log into it and change any of its settings independently of your Partner Settings defaults.

Who can do this

Configuring Partner Settings is a Partner Portal action, available to administrators of a Partner account — typically the Owners and Admins of the partner organisation. The Partner Portal is only visible within a Partner account (regular customer accounts don't see it) and is hidden from Restricted users. If you can't see Partner Portal → Settings in your sidebar, your account isn't a Partner account or your role doesn't have access.
