How to upload content from your computer

This article describes how to upload learning content from your computer. This content could include PDFs, videos or other documents that are custom to your organisation.


The following steps outline the process:


1. Go to Library

2. Click on Add content

3. Select "Click to upload" and browse to your file, or simply drag and drop the file from your computer into the box

5. Next, Enter the title of the learning content

6. Select the content type such as Article, Document, Video etc)

7. Select a category.


You can type to search or simply click on the dropdown will show the list for browsing

8. Click next to proceed

9. Enter a description.


This is important for learners to understand the purpose of the learning content and what it contains

10. Select an experience level


This is optional, however it does help to classify learning content and makes it easier to assign to your teams

11. Enter the content length and length unit.


The length could be minutes, hours, number of lessons or pages. This is useful as it helps learners understand how long a learning will take as well as helps managers and admins track learning hours

12. Click on Next to continue to the last step

13. Enter the author of the learning content.


If the author is unknown simply enter the name of your Organisation

14. Select a Published Date. This is (optional)

15. Add tags (optional)


Tags are useful as they allow you to add additional categorisation or grouping to learning content. Tags will also help people find this content easier in the library

16. To complete the upload simply click "Upload article"
