Overview
Certificates are the recognitions your learners earn for completing learning in SuperPath. Before you can award one, you create the Certificate itself — giving it a name and description, and optionally setting an expiry period, provider details, an image and a certificate file to attach when it's awarded.
Certificates are created on the Certificates page in your settings.
How to create a Certificate
- Go to Settings → Features.
- Click Manage Certificates.
- Click Create certificate.
- Click the Enter name field and type the name of the Certificate.
- If the Certificate expires, toggle this on and enter the appropriate number of months.
- Click the Enter description field and enter a description for the Certificate.
- Click the icon beside Additional settings to add extra optional information.
- If you have an image for the Certificate, upload it in the image box.
- If the learning is from a provider, enter the provider name and website in the spaces provided.
- If you have a file to attach once the Certificate is awarded, upload it to the Certificate File box.
- Click Create certificate.
Things to keep in mind
- Only the name and description are required — expiry, the provider details, the image and the Certificate file are all optional.
- Set an expiry period (in months) only if the Certificate should lapse and need renewing; otherwise leave the expiry toggle off.
- The file you add to the Certificate File box is the one attached to the learner's record once the Certificate is awarded.
