Overview

A Form step lets you drop a Form or quiz into a Pathway so learners fill it in as part of their learning — for example a knowledge check, a survey or an assessment. In SuperPath a quiz is a Form with scored questions, so both are added the same way.

Add an existing Form or quiz

  1. Open your Pathway in the builder.
  2. At the bottom of the steps panel, click Add Step to open the menu, then choose Add Form.
  3. The Add Learning Step panel opens with the Forms filter selected, listing your organisation's Forms and quizzes.
  4. Click a Form to preview it, then click Add to Pathway — or hover over a row and click the + to add it straight away.

The Form is added as a new step at the bottom of the Pathway (or inside a section — see below). Clicking a Form opens a preview of its questions alongside an Add to Pathway button.

Generate a quiz with AI

If you don't already have a quiz, you can have SuperPath create one:

  1. Click Add Step, then choose Generate Form.
  2. Describe the quiz you want, or base it on the Pathway's content, and let SuperPath generate the questions for you.
  3. Review the generated quiz and add it to your Pathway.

Good to know: You can also generate a quiz from a specific learning step — hover over a step and use its Generate Form (magic wand) button to build a quiz based on that step's content.

Add a Form/quiz to a section

To place the Form inside a specific section, hover over the section header, click its + (add) button, and choose Add Form. The picker works exactly as above, and the Form is added within that section.

Things to keep in mind

  • A section can't contain the same Form twice — if you add a duplicate to a section, SuperPath keeps the original in place.
  • Adding a step returns a published Pathway to a draft (unpublished) state, so publish again once you're finished.
  • A Form step has extra settings of its own, such as marking it to be completed by an assessor — open the step's settings (the cog icon) to configure them.

FAQs

What's the difference between a Form and a quiz?
A quiz is simply a Form with scored questions. Both are added to a Pathway as a Form step.

Where do the Forms in the picker come from?
They are the Forms and quizzes that already exist in your organisation. To build a new one on the spot, use Generate Form.

Can I turn a Form step into an assessment?
Yes. In a Form step's settings you can require it to be completed by an assessor and choose who assesses it.

Who can do this

Owners, Admins, Managers, Content Managers and Instructors can add Form and quiz steps to a Pathway. People Managers, Employees, Members, Volunteers and Restricted users have read-only access to Pathways and cannot.
