Overview

You can nest one Pathway inside another to build a more comprehensive, modular learning experience — for example combining several smaller Pathways into a single overarching one. This lets you reuse existing Pathways as building blocks rather than rebuilding their content each time.

Add a Pathway inside another Pathway

  1. Open the main Pathway — this is the one you'll add another Pathway into.

  1. Decide where it should go. You can add a Section to group the embedded Pathway, or simply add a Step. This guide uses a new Section.

  1. In the new Section, click the + icon and choose Add Content.

  1. Select the Pathway content type, then choose the Pathway you want to add.

  1. Once the Pathway is added, click the settings button to configure it.

Things to keep in mind

  • You can nest a Pathway either directly as a Step or inside a Section — a Section is useful for grouping the embedded Pathway with a heading.
  • The embedded Pathway keeps its own content; adding it here doesn't duplicate or alter the original.

Who can do this

Owners, Admins, Managers, Content Managers and Instructors can add a Pathway to another Pathway. People Managers, Employees, Members, Volunteers and Restricted users have read-only access to Pathways and cannot.
