How to Assign a Form

Overview

You can assign any Form or quiz to your people and Teams so it lands with the right learners. An assigned Form shows up on the learner's My Learning tab, where they can complete it. When you assign it you also choose when it's due, whether to notify people, and what message they receive.

Assign a Form

1. In the left-hand menu, open Library → Forms & Quizzes.

2. On the Forms & Quizzes list, use the search bar to find the Form you want to assign.

3. In that Form's row, click the assign icon (the people icon, tooltip Assign form).

4. In the Assign to people and teams popup, search for and select the people or Teams you want to assign the Form to.

5. Choose when to assign it: Assign now or Schedule for later. You can optionally set a start date and a Due date. Use the Notify people toggle to control whether assignees are notified — leave it on to send a notification, and add a custom message if you want to tailor it.

6. Click Assign to complete the process.

Tip: Need to require evidence or set up approvals? Click Advanced in the assign popup for those extra options before you assign.

Things to keep in mind

• You can assign a Form to whole Teams as well as to individual people — search for and select the Team the same way.
• Assignees are notified by default. Turn off Notify people if you'd rather announce the assignment another way.
• Assigned Forms appear on each learner's My Learning tab.

FAQs

Can I assign a Form to a whole Team at once?
Yes. Search for and select the Team in the assign popup, the same way you select individual people.

Where does an assigned Form appear for the learner?
On their My Learning tab, where they can open and complete it.

Can I assign a Form without notifying people?
Yes. Turn off the Notify people toggle before you click Assign.

Who can do this

Owners, Admins, Managers, Content Managers and Instructors can assign a Form from the Forms & Quizzes list. People Managers, Employees and Restricted users don't see the Forms & Quizzes area, so they can't assign Forms from there.
