Overview
If a Library item was created from a SCORM package, you can download the original SCORM files again from Manage Private Library — useful for keeping a backup or moving the course elsewhere. Both the SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 versions are offered where they exist.
How to download the SCORM files
- Go to Settings → Library and click Manage Private Library.
- Find the SCORM content item in the list. You can search or filter the table to narrow it down.
- In that item's row, click the Download (download arrow) icon. This icon only appears on items that have SCORM files.
![]()
- The Download SCORM Files window opens with the available versions. Click Download next to SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 to save that file.

Things to keep in mind
- The Download icon only shows on content items that were built from a SCORM package. Regular Library items (links, uploaded files, articles) do not have it.
- Both the SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 versions are listed when they are available for that item.
FAQs
Why don't I see a download icon on my content?
The icon only appears on items that have SCORM files. Content added as a link, file or article will not show it.
What's the difference between the SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 downloads?
They are the two SCORM standard versions of the same course. Download whichever version your other system expects.
Who can do this
The Download SCORM Files action has no separate role restriction — the download icon appears in the row actions for any user who can open the Manage Private Library page, on content items that have SCORM files. In practice this is the Owners, Admins, Managers, Content Managers and Instructors who manage Library content.
