Overview
Journey View turns a Pathway into a visual, map-like journey rather than a plain list of steps — "This setting will enable the ability for this pathway to view as a visual journey." It's a more engaging way for learners to see where they are and what's next. You enable it, then style it to match your look.
Turn on Journey View
- Go to Pathways and open the Pathway.
- In the pathway header, click the Settings (cog) icon to open the Pathway settings panel.
- Scroll to Journey Settings.
- Turn on Allow Journey View. The change saves automatically.

Customise the Journey
With Allow Journey View on, a set of styling options appears:
- Orientation — choose how the journey is laid out.
- Path Type — choose the style of the path connecting steps.
- Background Colour and Text Colour — pick colours for the journey.
- Background Image — upload an image to sit behind the journey.
Each choice saves automatically as you make it.
Good to know: When you first switch Journey View on, SuperPath applies sensible defaults (a vertical orientation and a line path type) so it looks right straight away. Adjust them to taste.
Things to keep in mind
- Turning Allow Journey View off hides the styling options and returns learners to the standard step view.
- Orientation, path type, colours and background image only appear while Journey View is switched on.
- Journey View changes how the Pathway is presented; it doesn't change the steps or their order.
FAQs
What is Journey View?
A visual, map-style way of presenting a Pathway's steps, instead of a plain list.
Can I brand the Journey?
Yes. You can set the orientation, path type, background and text colours, and a background image.
Do the styling options appear before I enable it?
No. They only show once Allow Journey View is turned on.
Who can do this
Owners, Admins, Managers, Content Managers and Instructors can enable and style Journey View. People Managers, Employees and Restricted users have read-only access to Pathways and cannot change this setting.
