Overview

The Leaderboard has two filters that let you focus the ranking: a timeframe control that sets the period points are counted over, and a Filter by team dropdown that narrows the ranking to a single Team. Between them you can answer questions like "who earned the most points this week?" or "how is the Sales Team doing this year?"

This article covers just those two filters. For how to reach the Leaderboard in the first place, see How to Access the Leaderboard; for downloading the results, see How to Export the Leaderboard to CSV.

Before you start

The Leaderboard is only available when Gamification is enabled for your account, and Restricted users don't see it. If you can't reach the Leaderboard at all, start with How to Access the Leaderboard.

How to change the timeframe

  1. Open the Leaderboard page (click the trophy icon in the top navigation bar).
  2. At the top right of the Leaderboard, find the timeframe control — a set of buttons labelled Week, Month and Year.
  3. Click the period you want. The ranking reloads to count only the points earned within that period.

The timeframe defaults to Month. There's no "all time" option — the Leaderboard always reflects one of these three rolling periods.

How to filter by Team

  1. On the Leaderboard page, find the Filter by team dropdown (its placeholder reads Select Team).
  2. Click it to open the list of Teams.
  3. Choose All to rank everyone, or pick a Team to see just that Team's ranking. The ranking reloads for your selection.

The Teams you can choose from depend on your role: Owners and Admins can filter by any Team, Managers by the Teams they manage, and everyone else by the Teams they belong to.

Things to keep in mind

  • The Filter by team dropdown doesn't appear on every account. If your account uses a team-only feed, the dropdown is hidden and the Leaderboard is already scoped to your own Team.
  • The timeframe and Team filters work together — changing one keeps the other in place, so you can view, for example, a single Team's ranking for the Week.
  • The Leaderboard reflects points earned within the selected timeframe, not all-time totals. If a Team or period looks empty, no points were earned there — try switching to Year.
  • Points are awarded for learning actions such as completing assignments and Pathways, signing in and commenting. See What points are awarded? for the full breakdown.

FAQs

Why don't I see a Filter by team dropdown?
Your account most likely uses a team-only feed, which hides the dropdown and scopes the Leaderboard to your own Team automatically. The timeframe control (Week, Month, Year) is always available.

Why does the Team list look different for me than for a colleague?
The Teams in the dropdown are scoped to your role. Owners and Admins see every Team, Managers see the Teams they manage, and everyone else sees only the Teams they belong to.

Is there an "all time" ranking?
No. The timeframe is always Week, Month or Year — pick Year for the widest view.

How do I get back to the full ranking after filtering by Team?
Open the Filter by team dropdown and choose All.

Who can do this

Any logged-in member of your organisation can use the Leaderboard filters once Gamification is enabled — the filters are shown to every role except Restricted, who can't reach the Leaderboard at all. This is a UI restriction, not a separate Leaderboard permission (every role can already read the tenant).

The timeframe control (Week, Month, Year) is available to everyone who can see the Leaderboard. The Filter by team dropdown is available to all roles too, unless your account uses a team-only feed, in which case it's hidden for everyone. The Teams shown in the dropdown are scoped to your role: Owners and Admins see all Teams, Managers see the Teams they manage, and everyone else sees the Teams they belong to.
