How to Find a Content, Pathway or Training ID

Overview

Every item in SuperPath — a piece of content, a Pathway, a Roadmap, an Event or a Form — has its own unique ID. You might be asked for one by our support team or when setting up an integration. The quickest way to find an item's ID is to open it and read it from the web address (URL) in your browser's address bar.

How to find a content ID

1. Go to your Library and open the content item.
2. Look at your browser's address bar. The URL looks like this: https://app.superpath.io/library/content/AbC123xyz.
3. The ID is the string that comes after /library/content/ — in this example, AbC123xyz.

Tip: On the content page you can also click the Copy link to this content icon (the link icon on the right-hand toolbar) to copy a shareable link. That link contains the content ID.

How to find a Pathway ID

1. Open the Pathway from your Pathways list.
2. Read the address bar. The URL looks like https://app.superpath.io/pathways/AbC123xyz/steps/overview.
3. The ID is the string between /pathways/ and /steps — here, AbC123xyz.

How to find a Roadmap or other learning ID

The same method works for other learning items — open the item and read the ID from the URL:

• Roadmap: https://app.superpath.io/roadmaps/<id>
• Event: https://app.superpath.io/events/<id>
• Form: https://app.superpath.io/forms/<id>

In each case the ID is the string that comes directly after the item type in the URL.

Tip: For content specifically, you can export a list of IDs in one go. Go to Settings → Library → Manage Private Library and use Export All — the downloaded CSV includes an ID column.

Things to keep in mind

• The ID is the string that appears immediately after the item type in the URL, before any further / or ?.
• If the URL ends with something like ?a=..., that final part identifies your account, not the item — ignore it when copying the ID.
• IDs are stable. Renaming an item or changing its details does not change its ID.

FAQs

Where exactly in the URL is the ID?
It is the section right after the item type — for example, after /library/content/ for content, or after /pathways/ for a Pathway. It is a mix of letters and numbers with no spaces.

Is there a button that just copies the ID?
For content, the Copy link to this content icon copies a link that contains the ID, and the Manage Private Library export includes an ID column. Otherwise, read the ID straight from the address bar.

The ID I need is for a "training" — where is that?
"Training" usually refers to a Pathway or a Roadmap in SuperPath. Open the relevant Pathway or Roadmap and read its ID from the URL as shown above.

Who can do this

Anyone who can open an item can read its ID from the browser's address bar — no special permission is needed. The Manage Private Library export (which lists content IDs) is available to the roles that can manage content: Owners, Admins, Managers, Content Managers and Instructors.
