How to View and Download My Certificates

Overview

When you complete learning that awards a Certificate, that Certificate is recorded against your profile. This article shows where to find the Certificates you've earned and how to open or download them.

Viewing your certificates on your profile

1. Open your Profile.
2. Select the Certificates tab.
3. You'll see a list of your Certificates, each with its name, description, provider, the date it was awarded and any expiry date.

The Certificates tab only appears if your organisation has the Certificates feature switched on.

Viewing a certificate when you finish a Pathway

When you complete a Pathway that awards a Certificate, the Pathway's completion page shows a Certificate awarded line with a View button. Click View to open the Certificate straight away — you don't have to go to your profile to see it.

Downloading a certificate

Wherever a Certificate has a file attached, its name (on your profile) or the View button (on the completion page) is a link that opens the Certificate in a new browser tab. From there you can save or print it using your browser — for a PDF, for example, use your browser's download or print option.

Good to know: Whether the file opens in the browser or downloads straight away depends on the file type and your browser's settings, so it may open for viewing first and then let you save it.

Things to keep in mind

• Certificates only show up once you've earned them — completing the learning that awards them adds them to your Certificates tab.
• If a Certificate doesn't have a file attached, its name is shown as plain text with no link to open.
• Certificates can carry an expiry date; both the awarded and expiry dates are shown in the list.
• The Certificates tab is only available when your organisation has enabled Certificates.

FAQs

Where do I find the certificates I've earned?
Open your Profile and select the Certificates tab. When you finish a Pathway that awards one, you can also open it from the Pathway's completion page.

How do I download a certificate?
Click the Certificate's name (on your profile) or the View button (on the completion page) to open it in a new tab, then save or print it from your browser.

Why don't I see a Certificates tab?
The tab only appears when your organisation has the Certificates feature switched on. If you expected a Certificate and can't find it, check with your Manager or Admin.

My certificate has an expiry date — what does that mean?
Some Certificates are valid for a set period. The expiry date shown tells you when it lapses; your organisation may ask you to renew it before then.

Who can do this

Every user can view and open their own Certificates from their Profile, and see a Certificate awarded on a Pathway's completion page — this includes Employees, Restricted users and every other role. The Certificates tab is only shown when your organisation has the Certificates feature enabled.
