Overview

Quick view reports let you see how your learners are tracking against a piece of learning. You can now send a custom notification to those learners directly from the report, without setting up a workflow or waiting on the standard due-date reminders.
This is ideal for ad hoc nudges, for example prompting everyone who hasn't started a pathway, or following up with learners who are partway through. Notifications are delivered both in app and by email.

Where to find quick view reports

The quick view report icon appears throughout SuperPath wherever you can view learner progress. Look for the small report icon next to a piece of learning. As an administrator or manager, select it to open the report and see the list of learners along with their progress.

How to send a notification

  1. Open the quick view report for the relevant learning.
  2. Use the status filters if you'd like to narrow the list, for example to learners who are Not started or In progress.
  3. Select the learner or learners you want to message (see the next section for both options).
  4. Select Send notification.
  5. Enter your message in the editor. You can add variables, images and formatting (covered below).
  6. SuperPath shows how many people the notification will be sent to. Check this number is right.
  7. Select Send, then confirm when prompted.

Your selected learners will receive the notification in app and by email.

Sending to one learner or several

You have two options:

  1. Send to one learner. Use the individual send option next to a single learner in the report.
  2. Send to several learners at once. Select multiple learners (or select all), then choose Send notification to message the whole group in one go.

Before the notification sends, SuperPath confirms the total number of recipients so you can double-check before it goes out.

Personalising your message with variables

Variables pull in live details so each message reads as though it was written for the individual learner. While writing your message, insert a variable to drop in:

  1. Recipient name, the name of the learner receiving the notification.
  2. Learning title, the name of the course or pathway the report relates to.

For example: "Hi [Recipient name], please complete [Learning title] by next week. Thanks."

Things to keep in mind

  1. Notifications go to in app and email. Each recipient receives the notification in both places.
  2. Always check the recipient count. SuperPath tells you how many people a notification is going to before it sends. Confirm this matches who you intend to reach, especially when using "select all".
  3. This is for ad hoc messages. For notifications that need to send automatically whenever an event occurs (for example a completion congratulations), set up a Workflow instead. Quick view report notifications are best for one-off, in-the-moment nudges.
  4. Standard due-date reminders still apply. Sending your own notification doesn't replace the automated reminders SuperPath already sends for due dates. It sits alongside them.

FAQ

Where do I find quick view reports?
Look for the small report icon throughout SuperPath wherever you can view learner progress. Select it as an administrator to open the report and see your learners along with how they're tracking.

Who receives the notification, and how?
The learners you select receive it in two places: in app and by email. That way it's hard to miss.

Can I message more than one learner at once?
Yes. Send to a single learner using the individual option, or select multiple learners (or select all) and message the whole group in one go. SuperPath confirms how many people the notification is going to before it sends.

Can I personalise the message?
Yes. Insert variables so each message reads as though it was written for the individual. You can drop in the recipient's name and the learning title, and SuperPath fills these in automatically for each learner.

Can I add images or formatting?
Yes. The message editor lets you insert images and formatting so your notification stays on brand and gives learners a clear next step.

How is this different from workflow notifications?
Workflow notifications send automatically whenever an event happens, for example a congratulations when someone completes a roadmap. Quick view report notifications are for ad hoc, in-the-moment messages to the specific learners in front of you. Use whichever suits the job: Workflows for automation, quick view reports for one-off nudges.

Does this replace the standard due-date reminders?
No. SuperPath still sends its automated due-date reminders as usual. Your custom notification sits alongside them, so you can follow up in your own words whenever you like.

Can I double-check who it's going to before it sends?
Yes. SuperPath shows the total number of recipients and asks you to confirm before anything goes out. It's worth a quick check, especially when you've used "select all".
