Allowing Admins to Approve and Assess All Learnings

Overview

By default in SuperPath, approvals and assessments are assigned to specific individuals on each learning item. This ensures the right people are responsible for reviewing progress and maintaining quality. However, in some organisations, this can create bottlenecks, especially when approvers or assessors are unavailable.


To solve this, SuperPath now allows you to enable a setting that lets admins approve and assess all learnings across the platform, regardless of assignment.

Before this setting is enabled:

  • Approvers and assessors must be explicitly assigned to each learning
  • Only those assigned users can:
    • Approve learning requests
    • Complete assessments
  • Admins cannot override these assignments

This ensures structured workflows but can limit flexibility.


βš™οΈ What changes when enabled?

Once this setting is turned on:

  • All admins can:
    • View all approval requests
    • Approve any learning request
    • Access and complete assessment requests
  • Admins are no longer restricted to only items assigned to them
  • Workflows become more flexible and responsive


⚠️ Important notes

  • This setting can only be enabled by an Owner
  • It applies to all admins in the workspace
  • Assigned approvers and assessors still exist β€” this setting simply allows admins to step in when needed


🧭 How to enable admin approvals and assessments

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Features
  3. Scroll to the People section
  4. Toggle on Allow admins to approve and assess all learnings

πŸ” Only users with the Owner role can enable this setting. If you don’t have access, contact your account owner.

Once enabled:

  1. Navigate to the Requests page
  2. Go to the Approvals or Assessments tabs
  3. View all requests across the organisation
  4. Select any request to review
  5. Take action:
    • Click Approve for learning approvals
