Create personalised certificates for your learners

Custom certifications allow you to automatically generate certificates that include each learner’s name and completion date, providing a more professional and personalised learning experience.

Why use custom certifications?

Custom certifications are ideal when you want to:

• Provide formal recognition for completed learning
• Improve learner engagement and motivation
• Maintain consistent branding across certificates
• Reduce manual admin work

Once set up, certificates are automatically awarded when learning is completed.

What can you use custom certifications with?

Custom certificates can be awarded for:

• Pathways
• Courses (including SCORM and AI courses)
• Events

Step-by-step: Creating a custom certificate

Step 1: Prepare your certificate design

Create your certificate using a design tool such as Canva and export it as a PDF.

Tip:

Leave space where the learner’s name should appear (usually centred).

Step 2: Open the learning item

Navigate to the course, pathway, or event you want to award a certificate for, then click Edit.

Step 3: Create a certificate

1. Select Create Certificate
2. Enter:

• • Certificate name
  • Provider
  • Description
  • Expiry details (if applicable)

Step 4: Upload your certificate file

Under Advanced settings:

1. Upload your PDF certificate
2. Enable Generate Name

This tells SuperPath to automatically insert the learner’s name and completion date.

Step 5: Customise the name and date

You can customise:

• Font size
• Font colour
• Date display
• Page orientation (landscape or portrait)
• Page size (A4 or Letter)

Save the certificate once you’re happy.

What learners see

When a learner completes the assigned learning:

• The certificate is automatically added to their profile
• Clicking the certificate opens a PDF with their name included

Custom placement requirements

By default, the learner’s name is placed in the centre of the document.

If you need the name positioned elsewhere, contact the SuperPath team and we can configure this for you.
