Overview
When someone invites you to join their organisation on SuperPath, you'll receive an invitation email branded with the organisation's logo, colour and platform name. The email contains a button that opens your account setup page, where you choose how to sign in and add a few details. Setting up your account takes a minute or two, after which you're taken straight to your dashboard.
How to create your account
- Open the invitation email and click the button to open your account setup page. It's headed Create your account and shows a message like "{Inviter name} has invited you to {platform}".
- Your invited email address is shown at the top. This is pre-filled and can't be edited — you'll sign in with this address.
- Choose how you'd like to sign in, based on the methods your organisation allows:
- Click Google or Microsoft to sign in with single sign-on, or
- Under the "OR SIGN UP WITH A PASSWORD" divider, type a password in the Enter a password field (minimum 6 characters) and click Sign up with password.
How to complete your account details
- After signing in, you're asked to complete your details. Enter your First name (required) and Last name (required).
- Optionally add your Position.
- Click Create account. You're taken to your dashboard, ready to start learning.
Good to know: If you signed in with Google or Microsoft and your name is already known, this step may be filled in and completed for you automatically.
Things to keep in mind
- You must sign in with the same email address the invitation was sent to. If you sign in with a Google or Microsoft account whose email doesn't match the invited address, you'll be signed out and shown a message asking you to use the correct account.
- If you already have an account on another SuperPath organisation using that email, accepting the invitation simply joins you to the new organisation.
- If the invitation has already been used, the link takes you to the normal sign-in page instead. If the link is invalid, you'll see a "not found" page — ask the person who invited you to resend it (see "How to Resend an Invitation").
- The sign-in options you see depend on which methods the organisation has enabled — you may see Google, Microsoft, a password, or a combination.
FAQs
Which email should I use to sign in?
The same email address the invitation was sent to. It's shown on the setup page and can't be changed. If your Google or Microsoft account uses a different email, you'll be asked to sign in with the correct account.
I already have a SuperPath account with this email — what happens?
Accepting the invitation simply adds you to the new organisation. You don't need to create a separate account.
My invitation link isn't working. What should I do?
If the link takes you to the sign-in page, the invitation may already have been used. If you see a "not found" page, the link is no longer valid — ask the person who invited you to resend it. See "How to Resend an Invitation".
Do I need an existing account or a special role to accept?
No. Anyone who receives an invitation email can accept it and set up their account.
Who can do this
Anyone who has received an invitation email can accept it and set up their account — no existing account or special role is required.
