Overview
Changing your password regularly helps keep your SuperPath account secure and gives you peace of mind. This article walks you through changing your password while you are signed in.
This flow is for when you are already signed in and know your current password. If you are locked out and cannot remember your password, use the signed-out reset flow instead — see How to Reset a Forgotten Password.
How to change your password
- Click your profile icon in the top right of the page.

- Select My Profile.

- On your profile, click Actions.

- Select Change password from the drop-down menu.

- Enter your Old password, then enter and confirm your New password.

- Click Change password. You will see a confirmation message once your password has been updated.

Note: Your first password is included in your welcome email. If you cannot remember it, check your inbox for that email, or use the forgotten-password reset flow instead.
Things to keep in mind
- You can only change your password if your account signs in with a password. If you sign in with a magic link, Google, Microsoft or your organisation's single sign-on, there is no SuperPath password to change and the Change password option will not appear.
- You need to know your current password to change it here. If you have forgotten it, reset it from the sign-in page instead — see How to Reset a Forgotten Password.
FAQs
I don't see a Change password option — why?
The Change password option only appears if your account signs in with a password. If you sign in with a magic link, Google, Microsoft or company single sign-on, you manage access through that method instead.
What if I have forgotten my current password?
Use the signed-out reset flow from the sign-in page. See How to Reset a Forgotten Password.
Where do I find my first password?
Your first password is sent to you in your welcome email. If you cannot find it, reset your password from the sign-in page.
Who can do this
Any signed-in user whose account uses a password login method can change their own password from their profile. Users who sign in with a magic link, Google, Microsoft or their organisation's single sign-on do not have a SuperPath password to change, so the option does not appear for them.
