Overview

Auto approve new registrations lets anyone with an email address on your company domain join SuperPath automatically — with or without an invitation. It's handy for larger organisations where you'd rather let colleagues onboard themselves than invite every person individually. You turn it on in the Auto approve new registrations section of the Security settings tab.

How to auto-approve sign-ups from your email domain

  1. Go to Settings → Security.
  2. Find the Auto approve new registrations section.

  1. Switch on Allow automatic access for any team member with a [your-domain] email address. SuperPath uses your own email domain here.
  2. Click Save changes on the save bar at the top of the screen to apply.

Once saved, anyone with an email on that domain can join automatically.

Things to keep in mind

  • When activated, any new team member with an email on your domain can join with or without an invitation. People without a matching email can still be invited as normal.
  • People who join automatically are given the Employee role with no team assigned. Adjust their role or team afterwards if needed.
  • This feature only works for people signing in with Google, Microsoft or SAML SSO login.
  • It's only available on paid accounts, and it's not available for public email domains such as Gmail, Outlook or iCloud — you need a private company domain.
  • A domain can only be claimed by one account. If your domain is already in use by another SuperPath account, you won't be able to enable this and you'll see a message saying so.

FAQs

What role do auto-approved people get?
They join with the Employee role and no team. You can change their role or add them to a team afterwards.

Why can't I enable this for my Gmail (or Outlook) domain?
The feature is not available for public email domains such as Gmail, Outlook and iCloud. It's designed for a private company domain, so colleagues on your own domain can be recognised.

Do people still need to be invited?
No — that's the point. With auto-approve on, anyone with a matching email can join with or without an invitation. People on other domains can still be invited manually.

Which sign-in methods does this work with?
Google, Microsoft or SAML SSO login only.

Who can do this

Only Owners (and Super Admins) can turn on auto-approve — the Security settings tab is restricted to Owners. Admins, Managers, Content Managers, People Managers, Instructors, Employees and Restricted users cannot. The feature is also a paid-account option and isn't available for public email domains.
