Overview

If you invited someone by mistake, used the wrong email address, or simply no longer need to add a person, you can cancel their pending invitation from the Invited People list. Cancelling deletes the invitation so it can no longer be accepted.



How to cancel a pending invitation

  1. Go to People and click View invites to open the Invited People list.
  2. Find the invitation you want to cancel. You can search by email, role or who invited them.
  3. In the actions column of their row, click the trash icon.
  4. In the confirmation, click Confirm delete.



The invitation is removed from the list and can no longer be accepted.


Things to keep in mind

  • Cancelling only applies to pending invitations. Once an invite has been accepted (shown as completed), there's nothing to cancel — you'd manage that person from the People list instead.
  • Cancelling an invitation doesn't stop you inviting the same email address again later.
  • This removes the invitation only; it doesn't affect anyone who has already joined.


FAQs

What happens to the person after I cancel?
Their invitation link stops working, so they can no longer accept it. Nobody is added to your organisation.


Can I invite the same email again afterwards?
Yes. Cancelling frees the address, so you can send a fresh invitation whenever you like.


I can't find a delete option for an invite — why?
Invitations that have already been accepted show as completed and can't be cancelled. If you need to remove that person, do it from the People list.


Who can do this

Owners and Admins can cancel pending invitations. Managers, People Managers, Content Managers, Instructors, Employees and Restricted users cannot.
