Overview
Before you add or update a group of people from a spreadsheet, download the bulk upload template. It's a ready-made CSV with the correct column headers and an example row, so you can fill in your people's details in the right format and avoid mapping errors when you upload.

How to download the template
- Go to People.
- Click Add people and choose Bulk Add / Update People.
- On the Prepare step, click Download template.
- The file SuperPath_Bulk_Upload_Template.csv downloads to your computer.
Open the file in your spreadsheet application, fill in one row per person, and save it as a CSV ready to upload.
What's in the template
The template includes these columns, with an example row to show the expected format:
- First Name (required)
- Last Name (required)
- Email (required)
- Employee ID
- Position
- Manager Email
- Teams
- Role
If access expiry is enabled for your account, an Access Expiry Date column is included too (format YYYY-MM-DD, a future date, left blank for permanent access). The template also adds a column for each of your active custom fields, using the field's key as the header.
Tip: For Teams, separate multiple team names with a semicolon (for example,
Design;Marketing).
Things to keep in mind
- The template is generated for your account, so the custom-field columns (and the Access Expiry Date column) reflect your current setup.
- First Name, Last Name and Email are required for every person; the other columns are optional.
- The example row is there to show the format — replace it with your own data before uploading.
- Keep the file in CSV format — the upload step accepts
.csvfiles.
FAQs
Do I have to use the template?
No, but it's the easiest way to get the headers and format right. You can map your own columns during upload, as long as First Name, Last Name and Email are present.
Why does my template have extra columns?
The template includes a column for each active custom field on your account, plus an Access Expiry Date column if that feature is enabled. This keeps it aligned with what your account can store.
How do I list someone's Teams?
Put the Team names in the Teams column, separated by semicolons — for example, Design;Marketing.
Who can do this
The template is downloaded from the Bulk Add / Update People page, which is reached from the Add people menu on the People list. Owners and Admins can add and import people and so can download the template. Managers, People Managers, Content Managers, Instructors, Employees and Restricted users don't have access to this page.
