Overview
The Email Exclusions list lets you stop SuperPath sending notification emails to specific email addresses, without changing anything else about those accounts. It's most useful for shared or generic mailboxes — for example a learning@company.com account you use to assign learning — where the notifications aren't wanted by anyone.
Exclusions sit alongside the Communications toggles, which switch individual notification types on or off for everyone in your account. Use the toggles when nobody should get a particular notification, and the exclusion list when specific addresses shouldn't get any.
How to exclude someone from notifications
- In the left-hand menu, go to Settings and open the Features tab.

- Scroll down to the Communications section and find Email Exclusions — "Exclude the following emails from all notifications".
- Type the person's email address into the field and press Enter to add it to the list. Repeat for as many addresses as you need.

- Click Save in the unsaved-changes bar at the top of the page. Your exclusions take effect once they're saved.
How to remove someone from the exclusion list
- Go to Settings → Features and scroll to Communications → Email Exclusions.
- Click the ✕ next to the email address you want to remove.
- Click Save. That address will start receiving notification emails again.

Things to keep in mind
- Exclusions are matched on the exact email address SuperPath would send to, so make sure it's typed correctly — a typo simply won't match anyone.
- The address doesn't have to belong to a SuperPath User. You can exclude a shared mailbox or a distribution address.
- Excluding an address doesn't disable the account, change the person's role or affect what they can do in SuperPath. It only stops the notification emails.
- Welcome emails aren't notifications, so they aren't covered by this list. If you don't want welcome emails going out, switch Welcome Emails off in the Communications section instead.
- Nothing is saved until you click Save — if you navigate away, you'll be asked to discard your changes.
FAQs
What's the difference between the Communications toggles and the exclusion list?
The toggles turn a whole notification type off for your entire account, for everybody. The exclusion list leaves your notifications as they are but stops them being emailed to the specific addresses you list.
Can I exclude an address that isn't a SuperPath User?
Yes. The list works on email addresses, which is what makes it useful for shared mailboxes used for assigning learning.
How many addresses can I add?
There's no set limit — add as many as you need.
Who can do this
Owners and Admins can manage email exclusions, because the whole Settings area is restricted to those two roles. Managers, People Managers, Content Managers, Instructors, Employees and Restricted users can't open Settings and so can't change notification exclusions.
