Using Quick Reports for Content

Overview

Quick Reports make it simple to view learner data for a specific piece of content directly from your Library. Instead of going into the full Reports section, you can instantly check assignments, progress and even take admin actions.

This is designed as a time‑saver—a small but mighty feature to get you to the insights you need faster.

Why use Quick Reports?

  • Save time: Skip full report setup and jump straight to content‑level data.
  • Stay focused: Only see learners attached to the piece of content you’re reviewing.
  • Take action quickly: Change due dates, mark items complete or delete assignments on the spot.
  • Export easily: Download a summary to analyse in spreadsheets or share with stakeholders.
Tip: Use Quick Reports when you just want learner progress on one course, video, or article—without running broader reporting.

Step 1 — Find the content

  1. Go to your Library from the left‑hand navigation.
  2. Browse or search for the content you want to check (e.g. a course, article, or video).

Step 2 — Open the Quick Report

  1. Open the content item by clicking its title.
  2. Look for the View Learners icon (person icon).
  3. Click it to launch the Quick Report.

The Quick Report will display:

  • All learner assignments for this content
  • Which pathways or steps include this content
  • Current learner progress and due dates

Step 3 — Manage learners directly

From the Quick Report, you can:

  • Change due dates for learners
  • Mark learning as complete
  • Delete assignments if not required
  • Export the list to CSV for analysis
Note: Changes you make here update learner records instantly.

Example use case

You’ve uploaded a compliance training video. Instead of running a full Content Report:

  1. Open the video from your Library.
  2. Click View Learners.
  3. Instantly see who’s completed, who’s overdue, and adjust due dates as needed.

FAQs

Does this replace full reporting?

No. Quick Reports give you fast access at the content level. Full reports are still best for organisation‑wide or multi‑content analysis.

Can I export Quick Report data?

Yes. Use the Export button to download learner details in CSV format.

Will Quick Reports show content used in pathways?

Yes. You’ll see which pathways and steps the content appears in, and learner progress within those pathways.

Can I filter within a Quick Report?

Currently, Quick Reports are a direct view. For filtering by dates, status, or cohorts, use the full Reports section.
