Overview

When a report is scheduled to send automatically, each recipient gets an email with a link to that run's report file. This article explains what happens when you open that link and what to do if it has expired.

Opening the report from the email

  1. Open the scheduled report email in your inbox.
  2. Click the link to the report.
  3. The link opens SuperPath, which loads the report and downloads the report file (a CSV) for you.

You need to be signed in to SuperPath as yourself, and you must be one of the report's recipients — the link only works for the people the report was scheduled to.

Links in the email are valid for 3 days. If you open one after it has expired, SuperPath shows This report link has expired.

  1. On that screen, click Request a new link.
  2. SuperPath emails you a fresh link and shows Fresh link on its way — check your inbox.

If the scheduled report hasn't run yet, there's no file to send, so requesting a link will let you know to wait until it next runs.

Things to keep in mind

  • Links are valid for 3 days; after that, request a new one from the expired-link screen.
  • Only the report's recipients can open the link, and only while signed in as themselves — the report file is not public.
  • Each scheduled send generates its own file, so the link always reflects the data from that run.
  • Whoever set up the schedule can also resend the latest file to themselves from the Existing Schedules table (see How to Delete a Scheduled Report).

FAQs

Do I need to be logged in to open the report?
Yes. The link opens in SuperPath and only works when you're signed in as a recipient of that scheduled report.

The link says it's expired — what now?
Click Request a new link on that screen and SuperPath emails you a fresh one.

Can I forward the link to a colleague?
No. The link is tied to the recipients of the scheduled report; someone who isn't a recipient can't open it. Add them as a recipient on the schedule instead.

Who can do this

Anyone added as a recipient of a scheduled report can open it from the email link, as long as they're signed in to SuperPath as themselves. The link doesn't work for people who aren't recipients, and report files are never public.
