Overview
You can add a call-to-action button to an announcement so learners can act on it straight away — for example, jumping to a pathway, opening a policy page, or visiting an external sign-up form. The button appears on the announcement tile on the learner's dashboard.
How to add a call-to-action button
- Go to Settings → Features and, under the Dashboard section, open Manage announcements.
- Click Create announcement, or open an existing one with the Edit (pencil) icon.
- In the Button Link field, enter the URL the button should open.
- In the Button Text field, enter the label to show on the button.
- Click Create (or Save).

Internal vs external links
- An internal link (a path within SuperPath) opens the destination inside the platform.
- An external link opens in a new browser tab.
If you set a link but leave the button text blank, an external-link button falls back to showing View.
Things to keep in mind
- Both Button Link and Button Text are optional — add them only if you want a button.
- The button appears on the announcement tile on the learner's dashboard.
- The button is separate from the announcement's image and video; you can combine a button with either.
FAQs
Are the button fields required?
No — they're optional. Leave them blank if the announcement doesn't need a button.
What happens if I add a link but no button text?
For an external link, the button falls back to showing View.
Can the button link to somewhere inside SuperPath?
Yes — an internal path opens within the platform, while an external URL opens in a new tab.
Who can do this
