Overview

You can add a call-to-action button to an announcement so learners can act on it straight away — for example, jumping to a pathway, opening a policy page, or visiting an external sign-up form. The button appears on the announcement tile on the learner's dashboard.

How to add a call-to-action button

  1. Go to Settings → Features and, under the Dashboard section, open Manage announcements.
  2. Click Create announcement, or open an existing one with the Edit (pencil) icon.
  3. In the Button Link field, enter the URL the button should open.
  4. In the Button Text field, enter the label to show on the button.
  5. Click Create (or Save).

  • An internal link (a path within SuperPath) opens the destination inside the platform.
  • An external link opens in a new browser tab.

If you set a link but leave the button text blank, an external-link button falls back to showing View.

Things to keep in mind

  • Both Button Link and Button Text are optional — add them only if you want a button.
  • The button appears on the announcement tile on the learner's dashboard.
  • The button is separate from the announcement's image and video; you can combine a button with either.

FAQs

Are the button fields required?
No — they're optional. Leave them blank if the announcement doesn't need a button.

What happens if I add a link but no button text?
For an external link, the button falls back to showing View.

Can the button link to somewhere inside SuperPath?
Yes — an internal path opens within the platform, while an external URL opens in a new tab.

Who can do this

Owners and Admins can add a call-to-action button to an announcement. Managers, Content Managers, People Managers, Instructors, Employees and Restricted users cannot.
