Overview

The cover is the wide banner image across the top of an Event. A good cover makes the Event recognisable and gives it a polished look. If you don't set one, SuperPath shows a default image.

You manage the cover in the Event editor, on the Event's Details tab. To open it, go to Events in the left-hand menu and click the Event you want to edit.

How to add or change the cover

  1. Open the Event and hover over the cover banner at the top of the card — an image menu appears in the corner.
  2. Open the menu and choose where to get the image:
    • Upload an image — upload your own file.
    • Choose from Unsplash — search a built-in library of free stock photos.
    • Choose from Library — pick an image already saved to your organisation's asset library.
    • Choose from Canva — design or pick one in Canva (only shown if Canva is available for your account).
  3. Select an image. The cover updates on the Event straight away.

Good to know: Choosing (or removing) a cover is applied to the Event as soon as you pick it — you don't need to use the Save bar for the cover itself.

How to reposition the cover

If the image is cropped awkwardly, you can adjust which part of it shows.

  1. Hover over the cover and open the image menu.
  2. Click Manage Cover Position.
  3. Adjust the position (top, centre or bottom) in the dialog and click Save.

How to remove the cover

  1. Hover over the cover and open the image menu.
  2. Click Remove cover. The Event falls back to the default cover image.

Things to keep in mind

  • If no cover is set, SuperPath shows a default image, so an Event always has a banner.
  • The cover, its position and its removal are saved to the Event as soon as you make the change.
  • The cover is separate from the Event's thumbnail and library image — see How to add a thumbnail and library image to an event.

FAQs

What's the difference between the cover and the thumbnail?
The cover is the wide banner across the top of the Event. The thumbnail is the smaller square image shown next to the title. They are set separately — see How to add a thumbnail and library image to an event.

Do I have to save after changing the cover?
No. The cover updates as soon as you choose, reposition or remove it.

Can I use my own image?
Yes. Choose Upload an image from the cover menu, or pick from your organisation's Library.

Who can do this

Owners, Admins, Managers, Content Managers and Instructors can add or change an Event's cover. People Managers, Employees and Restricted users cannot — they have read-only access to Events.
