Overview
Connecting your Outlook Calendar means learning Events are added to your calendar automatically, so you never miss one. It works with Microsoft 365 work and school accounts as well as personal Microsoft accounts.
This is a personal connection you make on your own profile. It links your own Microsoft account to SuperPath, so it is not an organisation-wide integration and each person connects their own calendar.
Signing in to SuperPath with Microsoft is not the same thing as connecting your calendar. Connecting is a separate step, and you can connect Outlook Calendar however you sign in.
How to connect Outlook Calendar
- Go to your own profile page.
- Open the Settings tab.
- Click Connect Outlook Calendar.
- Choose the Microsoft account you want to connect and grant access when prompted.

Once you have approved access you are returned to SuperPath and your calendar is connected. The button changes to Disconnect Outlook Calendar, and new learning Events will start appearing on your Outlook Calendar.
How to disconnect Outlook Calendar
- Go to your profile page and open the Settings tab.
- Click Disconnect Outlook Calendar.
- Confirm in the dialog by clicking Remove.

Learning Events will no longer be added to your calendar automatically. You can reconnect at any time by following the steps above.
Things to keep in mind
- This is a per-user setting. You connect your own Microsoft account, and it does not affect anyone else in your organisation.
- You connect one calendar, not both. If you have already connected Google Calendar, the Outlook Calendar option is hidden until you disconnect it.
- Disconnecting stops Events being added automatically. It does not remove Events already on your calendar.
- If you own Events that send calendar invites, disconnecting stops those invites going out. The confirmation dialog tells you how many of your Events are affected. See How to send calendar invites for an event.
- Some Events reach you as a calendar invitation from the Event owner instead of being added quietly in the background. You never get both, so there are no duplicates.
- Generating a Google Meet link for an Event needs Google Calendar. There is no equivalent for Outlook, so that button does not appear when you have Outlook Calendar connected.
FAQs
Does this work with a personal Microsoft account?
Yes. Work, school and personal Microsoft accounts are all supported.
Is this the same as signing in with Microsoft?
No. Signing in with Microsoft is how you get into SuperPath. Connecting Outlook Calendar is a separate step that lets SuperPath add your learning Events to your calendar.
Can I connect both Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar?
No. You connect one calendar. Disconnect the one you have before connecting the other.
I get an error when I try to connect. What should I do?
Some Microsoft 365 organisations require an administrator to approve an application before anyone can connect it. If connecting keeps failing, ask your IT administrator to approve SuperPath's access to calendars, then try again.
Is this an organisation-wide integration?
No. It is a personal connection on your own profile that links your own Microsoft account. Each person connects their own calendar.
What does SuperPath do with my calendar?
It adds your learning Events and keeps them up to date as those Events change. Nothing from your calendar is shown to other people in SuperPath.
Who can do this
Connecting Outlook Calendar is a personal setting on your own profile, so any user can do it for their own account. It is not an admin action and does not need special permissions.
