Overview
Every card on the Engagement Dashboard has two copy actions in its bottom-right corner: one puts a picture of the card on your clipboard, the other puts its numbers there as a table. Between them they cover the two things people actually do with a dashboard: paste a chart into a board pack, or pull the figures into a spreadsheet to work on.
Both actions copy to your clipboard rather than downloading a file, so you paste straight into whatever you are writing.

How to copy a card as an image
- Open the Engagement tab and set the date range and any Team filter you want the image to show.
- Find the card you want.
- Click the copy icon in the bottom-right corner of the card. Hovering it shows Copy as image.
- Paste into your document, email, presentation or chat.
A confirmation appears when the image is on your clipboard. The image is captured at double resolution, so it stays crisp when someone enlarges it in a slide.
What the image caption includes
This is the part worth knowing. The picture you copy is not just what you see on screen: SuperPath adds a caption bar to the image that is not displayed on the page. It records:
- Period, the date range the figures cover.
- Compared with, the comparison window, noting when only the elapsed days of each period are compared.
- Teams, the Teams you filtered to (or All teams) and the number of people included.
- Time zone, the time zone used for day boundaries.
- Taken, the date and time you copied it.
- Estimated, on the Learning hours card, stating that the hours are modelled from recorded durations rather than measured time.
The reason is simple: a chart pasted into a board pack loses every scrap of surrounding context, and a figure with no period or population attached is how misreporting happens. The caption travels with the picture so whoever reads it six weeks later knows exactly what they are looking at. There is no logo or product name in the image, so it is safe to use in your own branded documents.
How to copy a card as data
- Click the table icon in the bottom-right corner of the card. Hovering it shows Copy as data.
- Data copied to clipboard confirms it worked.
- Paste into Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. The values are tab separated, so they land in columns automatically.
What you get for each card
The columns match what the card shows:
- Trend charts (Active users, Learning completions, New assigned learnings, Learning hours) give you one row per point on the chart: the bucket date, its value, and the matching bucket and value from the previous period.
- Participation rate adds the numbers behind the percentage, so each row carries the count of people who signed in and the population it was measured against.
- Learning funnel gives one row per stage and callout: Assigned, In progress, Completed, Not started, Overdue in this period and Total overdue right now.
- Top learning content gives one row per item: its title, type, the number of people, and the completed, in progress and not started split.
Tip: Copy as data before you change the range. The copy reflects exactly the period and Team filter on screen at the time, so build the view you want first, then copy.
Things to keep in mind
- Both actions copy the card as it currently stands, including your date range and Team filter.
- Copy as image needs clipboard access. If your browser blocks it, allow clipboard permission for SuperPath and try again, or take an ordinary screenshot as a fallback.
- Copy as data is tab separated text, not a
.csvfile. If you need a file to attach, paste into a spreadsheet and save it from there. - These actions cover the summary figures. For row-by-row detail about individual people, use the Learnings tab or the Reports area, which export to CSV.
- Both actions are recorded as an export against your account, the same as other exports in SuperPath.
FAQs
Can I export the whole dashboard at once?
Not as a single file. Copy each card you need, or use Generate summary report to produce a written summary of the whole page that you can paste into a document in one go.
Why does my pasted image have extra lines of text at the bottom?
That is the caption bar, added on purpose so the period, comparison, Teams and time zone travel with the picture. It is not shown on the page itself.
Can I get a CSV of the Engagement Dashboard?
No. The Engagement Dashboard deals in summary figures, and its copy-as-data action is designed to paste into a spreadsheet. For CSV files of underlying detail, use the Reports area or the dashboard's learning-progress table.
Does the image include our logo?
No. Images are deliberately free of branding so they suit your own documents, including white-labelled ones.
Who can do this
Anyone who can open the Engagement Dashboard can use both copy actions: Owners and Admins on the Company view, and anyone with at least one direct report on the Team view. There is no separate export permission, and both actions run in your browser on figures already on screen.
