Overview
The Knowledge Article Report shows how your people are engaging with a Knowledge article — who has viewed it and when — so you can understand what information is being accessed and by whom. You pick one article and a period, and the report lists the viewers along with total and unique view counts.
How to generate the report
- From the left-hand menu, open Reports and click the Knowledge Article Report tile.

- Choose the Knowledge article you want to report on, then set the Period — All time, This month, Last month, This year, Last year, or Custom (then pick a from and to date). Tick Include disabled users if you want views by disabled accounts counted.

- Click Generate. The report displays the viewers, with Total Views and Total Unique Views shown above the table. You can rename and store it with Save Report, and export the results as a CSV with Export.

What the report shows
Each row lists a person who viewed the selected article and the Date Viewed. Above the table, summary cards show the Total Views and Total Unique Views for the chosen period. Use the search box to filter by name, and sort by any column.
Things to keep in mind
- You select one Knowledge article per report; to compare another article, change the selection and generate again.
- The report is only available when Knowledge is enabled for your platform.
- By default disabled users are excluded — tick Include disabled users to count their views.
- For the view from the other direction — a person and all the Knowledge they viewed — use the Knowledge People Report instead.
FAQs
How is this different from the Knowledge People Report?
This report is organised by article — who viewed one specific article. The Knowledge People Report is organised by person — what Knowledge each selected person viewed. They draw on the same view data.
Can I save the report to run again later?
Yes — click Save Report after generating to reopen it later with the same article and period.
Can I export the results?
Yes — click Export to download the results as a CSV file.
Who can do this
The Knowledge Article Report is reached from the Reports area, available to Owners, Admins, Managers and People Managers, and the report tile requires Knowledge to be enabled for your platform. Content Managers, Instructors, Employees and Restricted users do not have access to the Reports area.
