Overview
The banner is the large heading area at the top of your Knowledge Homepage — it sits behind the search box and is the first thing learners see when they open the Knowledge Base. You can personalise it with your own title and a background image so it fits your organisation. Both are set once and apply for everyone. This article explains how.
Set the banner title and image
- Go to Settings → Features.
- In the Knowledge Base section, make sure the Knowledge Base is enabled.
- In the Knowledge Banner Title field, type the heading you'd like to show in the banner.
- Under Knowledge Banner Image, click the image area to pick or upload a background image for the banner.
- Click Save changes to apply your banner.
Note: The banner title and image are account-wide settings — they change the Knowledge Homepage for everyone in your organisation, not just for you.
Things to keep in mind
- If you don't set a banner title, the homepage falls back to a default Knowledge Hub heading.
- The banner image is shown as the background of the banner, with the title and search box displayed over it.
- These settings only apply once the Knowledge Base is enabled for your account.

What shows if I leave the banner title blank?
The homepage displays the default heading Knowledge Hub.
Who sees my banner changes?
Everyone in your organisation. The banner title and image are account-wide, so the change appears for all users on the Knowledge Homepage.
Where does the banner image appear?
It's used as the background of the banner at the top of the Knowledge Homepage, sitting behind the heading and the search box.
Who can do this
The Knowledge Homepage banner is set under Settings, which is available only to Owners and Admins. Managers, Content Managers, People Managers, Instructors, Employees and Restricted users cannot access Settings and so cannot change the banner.
