Overview

Quick reports make it simple to view learner data for a specific piece of content directly from your Library. Instead of going into the full Reports section, you can instantly check assignments and progress, and even take admin actions. It's a time-saver — a small but mighty feature that gets you to the insights you need faster.

Quick reports aren't limited to content — you can open one from a Pathway, Event, Form or Roadmap too. For the full walkthrough across all item types, see How to Open a Quick Report for a Learning Item.

Why use quick reports?

  • Save time: skip full report setup and jump straight to content-level data.
  • Stay focused: only see the learners attached to the piece of content you're reviewing.
  • Take action quickly: change due dates, mark items complete, or delete assignments on the spot.
  • Export easily: download a summary to analyse in a spreadsheet or share with stakeholders.

Tip: Use a quick report when you just want learner progress on one course, video or article — without running broader reporting.

How to open a quick report for content

  1. Go to your Library from the left-hand navigation.
  2. Browse or search for the content you want to check (for example, a course, article or video).

  1. Open the content item by clicking its title.
  2. Click the View learners icon (the bar-chart icon) to launch the quick report.

The quick report shows:

  • All learner assignments for this content.
  • Which pathways or steps include this content.
  • Current learner progress and due dates.

Managing learners directly

From the quick report, you can:

  • Change due dates for learners (see How to Change a Due Date From a Quick Report).
  • Mark learning as complete (see How to Mark an Assignment Complete From a Quick Report).
  • Delete assignments that are no longer required.
  • Export the list to CSV for analysis.

Note: Changes you make here update learner records instantly.

Example use case

You've uploaded a compliance training video. Instead of running a full report:

  1. Open the video from your Library.
  2. Click the View learners icon.
  3. Instantly see who's completed it and who's overdue, and adjust due dates as needed.

Things to keep in mind

  • A quick report is scoped to the single item you open it from — it isn't an organisation-wide report. For broader analysis, use the full Reports section.
  • Which actions you can take depend on your role and the item's status; for example, marking complete is limited to Owners and Admins, and completed items can't have their due date changed.

FAQs

Does this replace full reporting?
No. Quick reports give you fast access at the content level. The full Reports section is still best for organisation-wide or multi-content analysis.

Can I export quick report data?
Yes. Use the Export option to download learner details as a CSV.

Will a quick report show content used in pathways?
Yes. You'll see which pathways and steps the content appears in, along with learner progress within those pathways.

Can I filter within a quick report?
Yes — you can filter the learner list by status (such as in progress, overdue or completed) and search by name. For broader filtering across dates, statuses or cohorts, use the full Reports section.

Who can do this

Quick reports can be opened by the roles that can reach the Library and other management areas — typically Owners, Admins, Managers, Content Managers and People Managers (Managers and People Managers see the learners within their scope). Employees and Restricted users don't have these areas. The actions available inside a quick report depend on your role and are covered in the related articles.
